Global Voice magazine #26, special summer issue, 2023 – Learning Is a Journey: Ride with style
Welcome to this special summer issue of Global Voice magazine, the traditional high-summer publication that features the student talent of our member schools side-by-side with faculty and their research insights!
GV #26 begins with a spotlight on Dean Vincenzo Vinzi of ESSEC Business School who sets the tone on this special issue from the alliance and shares the ESSEC experience on social and environmental transformation.
Prof. Adrian Zicari, Academic Director of the CoBS, follows with an inspiring analogy of travel, exploration, and the learning journey that all of us might undertake during our lives.
30 faculty and student contributors appear in the 2 sections of this issue: Business & Society and Leadership, Management & Sustainability.
Knowledge in Global Voice magazine #26
The Business & Society section largely debates the launch of the new version of ChatGPT. From threat to integrity and critical thinking, to a welcome revolution to trigger change in education, and a means to paradoxically restore the art of rhetoric and composition in higher education studies, students from 5 continents get to grips with AI and what it means for them. Business schools are also a focus, with both a critical standpoint and a positive perspective on how they can create opportunity and contribute to reducing divides in society.
Leadership, Management & Sustainability tackles research-based issues on linking CEO pay to ESG goals, ethics & compliance, how bias shapes leaders’ decisions, and the mistaken perception that effort spells success! Further insights focus on how the retail sector might lead the way in sustainability through regenerative supply chains, energy as a basic human right, and how MNCs can include gender diversity in large-scale projects.
A total of 28 articles in these two sections are offered to keep you reading throughout the summer and which we hope will provide knowledge, insight, and much food for thought to start off your September with inspiration, ideas and new projects!
