Welcome back to the CoBS and the autumn 2026 issue of Global Voice magazine #37 – The Power of Informed Opinion: Research insights for a better, more objective world.
In a world of increasing complexity, uncertainty, and sometimes obscure influences we thought it would be a good idea to re-state the original idea and mission behind Global Voice magazine. Now in its 10th year, the publication offers a platform to faculty, researchers, practitioners, students and alumni among the CoBS member schools. Moreover, Our voice is committed to social, environmental, and financial impact – CSR, sustainability, ESG – as well as issues at the crossroads of business and society, and the common good. In addition, we regularly publish guest academics and professionals.
Facts, not Fiction
A common denominator in our featured insights is research or/and field experience. Empirical in nature, objective in tackling a topic, we invite the reader to form her/his own opinion by drawing on the knowledge and conclusions contained in our insights.
Both to take an informed part in debate on major topics affecting the world. And to help make decisions based on cutting edge research and in-the-field professional experience.
In this issue GV#37
Finally, in this 106-page Global Voice magazine #37, you will discover another engaging Editorial by Academic Director Prof. Adrian Zicari, and 15 research-based articles from the work of 30 contributors from CoBS member schools and guest institutions.
These reads are assembled in 3 sections: Management & Leadership, Sustainability & Accountability, and Business & Society.

- The Management & Leadership section covers, among others, the topics of power of character in leadership, love of one’s work, why employees persist in working long hours in professional service firms, and how tensions in personal life might influence unethical behaviour at work.
- Section 2 – Sustainability & Accountability – puts the focus on the growing interest in Conscious Business, how the structure of global supply chains can shape potential ESG controversies, and accounting for sustainability.
- And lastly, Section 3 – Business & Society – offers research-based insights into big data analytics and decision-making, youth entrepreneurship as a way to boost South Africa’s economy, the power of purpose in social enterprise, and a dive into behavioural science and tech with the factors that make us click on a hyperlink.
