IIM Bangalore Joins the Council on Business & Society

The CoBS is delighted to announce that Indian Institute of Management Bangalore has become the 12th member school of the global alliance of leading schools of business and management dedicated to teaching and research in responsible leadership at the crossroads of business, society, and planet.

IIM Bangalore is a leading global business school and one of the most prestigious in India recognised for its commitment to positive impact in society, government and business. Located in Bengaluru in the “Silicon Valley” of India, its mission is to nurture insightful and responsible leaders, shape innovation, drive sustainability and entrepreneurship, and develop impactful research for a better future.

We’d like to offer our warm thanks to IIM Bangalore Director and Prof. Rishikesha T. Krishnan and Prof. and Dean of Alumni Relations Sourav Mukherji for their very positive commitment to the alliance which has already brought thought leadership to the CoBS-Harvard BiGS partnership, the participation of IIMB students in several flagship inter-school projects, and IIMB expertise in coming various CoBS events, learning solutions, and publications which include:

Covering 6 continents and offering a unique global and local perspective on the major issues affecting business, society, and planet, IIMB’s membership now brings the alliance to a combined total of 12 schools, 23 campuses in 16 countries, over 2,000 permanent faculty, 50,000 students, and half a million alumni.

Founded in June 2011, the CoBS is an alliance of leading schools of business and management around the world who want to engage their students, alumni, the business world and civil society in addressing this major and lasting change in their environment.
