People Power in the Time of Covid

Council on Business & Society in the time of Corona Virus

Dear Readers and Friends of the CoBS,

A warm hello from the CoBS Editorial team and a big thank you for continuing to log onto the Community blog to pick up your weekly insights.

As you may have noticed, we’ve insisted on posting up our twice-weekly features despite the unprecedented changes and upheavals that have occurred during the Coronavirus/Covid19 crisis and we’ll keep on doing this as long as the content lasts.

We feel this is our little gesture, however small, to help keep people engaged and occupying their minds with learning insights throughout this period. All in all, it’s both a “business-as-unusual” and “life-as-unusual” approach to accompany all those superb gestures of solidarity we can see among folk throughout the world to keep their spirits up and plough on. This is “people power” in action.

All the team members are scribbling away from their homes across the planet in what has been termed “containment”. We’re thinking of you, most probably working and living under the same conditions, and wish you and your families a safe journey across the coming weeks and months.

Take care, stay safe and stay in touch. And why not even start scribbling yourselves and send us in your articles and well-founded opinion features on anything concerning CSR, CSV, sustainability or education in the time of CoronaV. We’d be happy to post them up on the blog.

Kind regards,

Tom Gamble, Associate Director and Chief Editor, Council on Business & Society
